Clips from my podcast that were recorded a couple of days ago unfortunately missed the most important point I wanted to make—very much needed to make–(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKCRqOMOI1A)
The following tells what I’ve been trying to say for a long time but was never able to clearly get it across. It’s very important.
The message of Jesus’s unconditional love is essential for people with mental health conditions to hear. It is the key that will help them find healing.
Why is it essential?
For stigmatized people, knowledge that they are so loved impresses on them that they are worthy of acceptance and dignity, no matter what. They acquire courage, strength, and hope, realizing that they too deserve to be part of the world.
This is how troubled people are affected by the message of Christ’s love. This is how they find healing from the pain of stigma.
Living Room is unique because it’s one of the few places where a regular diet of such messages are heard.
