He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.

Psalm 40:2-3

Since 2006 when I founded Living Room peer support groups, I’ve felt strongly about this ministry’s value. But today’s lack of resources for training has made starting up new groups difficult.

I’m wondering if this might be a good time to develop a more comprehensive form of peer support, with groups only being a part of it.

Ideally the goal for such a ministry would not only be to support, but to build participants up, with God’s help encouraging them to face the world with confidence.

Interested? There will be more to come.

I would appreciate hearing your thoughts.
